On Monday, August 02, 2010, at 11:30 am, a black Honda with a spoiler and a red stripe pulled up to the pavilion at Elm Grove School. The passenger (described as a black teenager dressed in mostly black) got out and shot a 9 year old 6 times and a 12 year old 2 times with a “soft air pistol” leaving bruises about the size of a quarter. They did not harm the other 2 children. They were both shot in the chest a stomach area making it painful to breath requiring a trip to the hospital to be checked out. A report was made to both HPD and Pct. 4 Constables.

Kingwood Farmers Market

Several vendors have already signed up to participate in the Kingwood Farmers Market which will be held each Thursday, rain or shine, from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm. So far the list includes vendors that sell produce, fresh bread, homemade soaps, and Indian food. The Kings River Village Community Association Board of Directors passed a Resolution to assist in enforcing the covenants and deed restrictions for the Association by imposing fines for violations in our community.
