Update on BB Gun Mischief
Posted on Oct 11, 2009

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Good news regarding the BB Gun Criminal Mischief Incidents in the Atascocita Area.  Three young adult male suspects were caught last night by our Contract Deputies when the suspects attempted another round of mayhem in the area.  The cases related to these incidents are numerous (in excess of 75) and all the cases will be aggregated together and filed as a criminal episode Felony case, instead of numerous Misdemeanor cases.  We are in the process of collecting damage estimates from the complainants and additional evidence.  We will finalize the case and file the charges on the known suspects in the very near future.

The northeast area of Harris County has experienced a high volume of criminal mischiefs involving suspect(s) shooting out windows with either a BB or Pellet Gun in vehicles parked in driveways or along the street.  On Saturday night, October 03, 2009, twenty-two residents in the Walden, Pinehurst and subdivisions east of West Lake Houston Parkway woke up to broken windows in their vehicles.  On Thursday night, October 08, 2009, residents in Atascocita, Walden and subdivisions west of West Lake Houston Parkway experienced the same, with windows shot out of thirty-seven vehicles parked either in the driveway or along the street.

All incidents occurred between the hours of 1:30AM and 5:00AM.  If you have information regarding these incidents, please contact Sergeant Nick Lekas 281 446-1196.

Sergeant N. Lekas
